Job Title: Part-Time Laboratory Logistics Coordinator / Intern

Location: Watertown, MA

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Laboratory Logistics Coordinator or Intern. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our laboratory’s logistics processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in all aspects of laboratory operations and management, including sample shipments and inventory management, supporting and initiating process improvements.
  2. Lead the logistics of sample shipments, including creating shipment manifests and documentation.
  3. Monitor shipment tracking and flag any issues or delays.
  4. Assist in coordinating the procurement of supplies for shipments, including shipping boxes, freezer boxes, labels, etc.
  5. Assist with receiving and unpacking incoming packages, ensuring proper inventory management and documentation.
  6. Support inventory management by updating inventory trackers and completing inventory documents.
  7. Assist in aliquoting reagents based on shipment requirements.
  8. Support the transportation of cold pack and dry ice shipments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Logistics).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in Smartsheet is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with inventory management systems/software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information:

This position is part-time or internship-based and is based in Watertown, MA. Hours are flexible to accommodate school schedules or other commitments.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a data analyst at ALZpath, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can be used to improve our understanding of Alzheimer’s disease. You will work closely with our scientific and care delivery team, helping them to design experiments, collect data, and make sense of their findings. In addition, you will collaborate with our business and marketing leaders to help them make data-driven decisions that will drive growth and profitability.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as statistics, data science, or mathematics.
2+ years of experience working as a data analyst or similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Experience with statistical analysis software
Knowledge of database systems
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience working in the healthcare or life sciences industry, particularly in the field of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, is preferred but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The intern will assist ALZpath in various research, administrative, and operational tasks related to the development of products and services for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their Care Partners. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with a small, dedicated team and gain valuable experience in the fields of Alzheimer’s research and care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a related field (e.g., neuroscience, psychology, healthcare administration, business administration)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
Passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers
